How to Prepare Your Face for Make-Up

Before applying your makeup in the best possible order, it is important to familiarize yourself with your skincare routine. You do not need to spend a lot of time on your skincare routine, but you need to follow a few simple steps to make sure your skin is ready for makeup. Below, are three steps of skincare to take before makeup.

Step 1: Facial Cleaner

The first step in your skincare routine should be to wash your face. Take a small amount of facial cleanser into your hands, add water to turn the clay into foam, then massage gently onto your skin, rinse thoroughly and dry.

Step 2: Scrubbing

Exfoliating your skin with a scrub is a great way to prepare your skin for makeup. Apply a small amount of facial scrub to clean, dry skin, then massage your face with wet fingers and rinse thoroughly. You can scrub your face three times a week.

Step 3: Moisturizing

After cleansing and scrubbing your face, apply moisturizer so that makeup can be applied easily.
The following procedure you need to follow for perfect makeup:

Step 1: Primer

Primer is used so that makeup remains long lasted throughout the day. Apply primer on the whole face.

Step 2: Foundation

Choose the perfect shade that suits your skin tone. The foundation can be in liquid, cream, or powder form. Use either a makeup sponge or brush to apply foundation.

Step 3: Concealer

The concealer is intended to even out the uneven skin tone as a result of dark spots or dark circles. You can also use a concealer in a slightly lighter shade of skin color to lighten dark areas or high spots on your face. Use a concealer brush or your (clean) fingertips to blend the concealer on the area under the eyes, inverted triangle shape, along the bridge of the nose, chin, forehead center, and above the upper lip. You can use a shade to match your complexion to cover red areas or blackheads or acne. Mix the edges of your concealer so it blends perfectly into your foundation.

Step 4: Highlighter

Apply a highlighter. Once your foundation is finished, it is likely that your face now has a contourless and flat appearance due to the uniform color. To give more depth, you will have to create the illusion of reflections and shadows. You can use a cream (to apply before fixing your face) or a powder highlighter to illuminate the deepest areas of your face: the inner corners of your eyes, under your eyebrows, in the center of your cupid’s bow and on the top / sides of your cheekbones.
